Lily Milburn

Lily joined WMS in 2022 after 6 years of industry experience and now works as a manager for Partner Matthew Shoobridge.

Having started her academic journey with a remarkable dual Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland, Lily further enriched her global perspective through semesters abroad at both the University of Leeds and the University of Hong Kong. Her semester in Hong Kong was the result of winning the Endeavour Cheung Kong Award sponsorship.

Lily completed her CA qualification in 2020 and achieved academic merit for Management Accounting. Lily is continuing her professional development and has a specialist interest in International Financial Reporting Standards.

In her role at WMS, Lily’s is adept in tax compliance for all types and sizes of entities and assists clients with more nuanced consulting advice. This includes delving into aspects like employee share schemes, tax consolidations, and general-purpose financial reporting.

Lily’s commitment to excellence is evident in her accolades. In 2023, she was the proud Runner up for the WMS Grab the Helm cultural award. She is also the tax software champion at WMS, driving advancements in software use within the firm.

On a lighter note, Lily is a proud parent to a spirited cattle dog, who, much to her amusement, is frequently mistaken for the beloved cartoon character, Bluey.
