Sharon Field

Sharon joined WMS as an administrative assistant in 2023 and brought with her an extensive and diverse range of professional experiences.

Sharon has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Health (1993) from QUT and a Master of Business Administration (1998) from Griffith University. For her academic accomplishments, Sharon was recognized with the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence.

Before joining WMS, Sharon spent 7 years as an Environmental Health Officer followed by 7 years as a Business Systems Coordinator, both at Gold Coast City Council. She then ventured into entrepreneurship, owning a commercial cleaning business for 12 years. Additionally, she dedicated 3 years of her career to being a support worker.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sharon is deeply involved in her community. She’s volunteered for a decade as the Age Manager of Gold Coast Little Athletics groups and has dedicated 6 years as the Team Manager of Junior AFL teams.

Personal passions run deep in her family. Married with three teenage boys, the family is immensely sport-oriented, with interests ranging from AFL and gridiron to athletics and golf.
