Saroj Tiwari

Saroj is an accomplished Senior Accountant at WMS Tax & Advisory who joined the team in 2023 after working for a period of time as an accountant in Rockhampton.

Saroj’s educational journey began at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), where he earned a Master of Professional Accounting in 2021. He followed this by obtaining the full membership of CPA Australia in 2023. Prior to his Australian education, Saroj obtained a Chartered Accountancy Degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 2019. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi, earned in 2015.

Before arriving in Australia in 2020, Saroj spent 4.5 years working in New Delhi, India. His focus was primarily on audit engagements, including public sector audits and work with Indian listed companies. Following his time in India, Saroj returned to his home country, Nepal, where he specialised in internal audit within the manufacturing and banking sectors.

At WMS, Saroj is deeply involved in taxation matters, providing strategic advice to clients. His international exposure and diverse skill set enhance the firm’s capabilities.

Outside of work, Saroj cherishes family time, especially cooking Nepalese and Indian cuisine. Saroj’s Sundays are dedicated to watching UFC events, combining his passion for sports with relaxation.
